Job Description

Application Production Support specialist provides technical support on Applications and IT Systems in Production environment.

The core responsibilities of an APS specialist are:

Troubleshoot issues: when technical issues with the application arise, APS must act quickly to analyze the available data and find the root cause of the problem. They may then develop a solution themselves or pass the problem on to other teams, all the while providing users with progress updates.
Contribute to application technical evolution: APS participate to the designing phase in order to guarantee that the solution has the proper quality and it is compliant with SDLC policies, infrastructure and monitoring requirements.
Knowledge of Incident and Change management process
As part of an IT support team, the candidate needs both technical knowledge and communication skills to:

Coordinate technical IT project
Provide technical requirements to third-party providers.
Collaborate with applications’ Business Analysts for identifying new technical requirements.
Validate and test technical solutions and deployment packages.
Manage, install and configure applications in enterprise environment.
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a complex and distributed environment.
Open and follow-up tickets with external software providers.
Contribute actively to the Change Management of local applications.
Collaborate with local and International IT teams via ITSM tools.
Contribute with technical tasks on IT Projects.
Maintain and update technical documen
Skills Working knowledge of:

Windows Server and Linux OS
Web Server and Application server (IIS, Apache, Tomcat)
Relational Databases (SQL, Oracle)
File Transfer Technologies (Open protocols, PR4 and Pesit)
Software installation and configuration (also in Virtualized env. - Citrix)
Distributed enterprise application architecture (load balancer, presentation layer, etc.)
Server in Cluster environments (Physical and Virtual)
Virtual Environments (VMware)
Basic Networking (Firewall, routing)
Private Cloud Platforms
DevOps (Jenkins, Sonarqube, Artifactory, Ansible)
Application monitoring
Job scheduling Knowledge of:

Basic ITIL processes and workflow
Complex problem solving Language skills
English (email, phone calls, conference calls)
