We are currently recruiting an Instrument Engineer for our operations in Basra, Iraq to be responsible for instrumentation, automation & control systems concept design and detailed engineering design activities. You will train and mentor junior engineers, provide technical instrumentation and automation support and define instrumental and automation requirements for the team.
The Key responsibilities are:
Selection of the best technical/economical solutions and products for instrumentation and automation systems.
Instrumentation and automation systems overall design integrity and compliance with international standards, company guidelines and engineering best practices.
Review and approve the specification. ensuring that, design and supply (by contractors) of instrumentation and control systems in EIBV facilities, meets project objectives, industry standards and best practice for safety, reliability and cost.
Complete assigned work on time to meet EIBV schedules.
Preparation of ITT documentation and bid technical review for instrumentation and automation systems.
Review of contractor’s instrumentation and automation and control systems design.
Technical instrumentation and automation support to construction, commissioning and start-up team.
Selection of the best technical/economical solutions for production facility.
Supervising and directing Engineering Detail Contractors during the design, procurement and construction activities, ensuring the quality of the works according to the contract requirements.
Skills:
Experience in Instrumentation, Automation & Telecom systems design.
Electrical Systems Design knowledge
Fluent level of working written and spoken English.
Other Requirements:
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Significant experience in a similar role in the Oil & Gas industry.
