We are looking for a logistic specialist for a multinational company based in Milano
The logistic specialist is responsible for Logistics Improvements and analysis with a goal of driving continuous performance improvements and/or cost savings for the company.
Analysis may include both business-as-usual as well as modeling potential improvements/efficiencies. The analyst functions as a subject matter expert concerning complex analysis and reporting, making recommendations to managers.
The resource is expected to challenge conventional thinking and explore varying perspectives with key stakeholders to include, but not limited to, understanding needs for data, analysis and regular reporting for the Supply Chain.
He will be part of the logistic team, reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager for daily activities and to the Plant Operations Manager for project and continuous improvements.
MAIN FOCUS
During the first period the candidate will drive the company trough the improvement of two main projects:
• Reverse logistics
o Having experience with continuous reverse logistics process, managing material coming back from customers/partners/warehouse on field in order to be repaired from local repair centre or moved to scrap. Key success factor is to deal and track material at serial number level.
• Small parcel deliveries
o Direct delivery to the single customer/merchant/shop. Managing daily many single parcel deliveries with different forwarders. Key success factor is to be able to track each shipment and create IT synergies with forwarders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Daily operation on material Outbound – be the main backup for current outbound specialist
• Create daily task to external subcontracting company
• Measures, audits, interprets and reports on key metrics related to performance, compliance, and/or budget for the Supply Chain.
• Researches gaps and identifies opportunities to manage cost/achieve efficiencies with stakeholders.
• Makes recommendations to managers.
• Maintains best practices to develop data standards and analysis practices.
• Creates adhoc reporting and performs complex analysis, as needed, to support business needs.
• Identifies opportunities, recommends strategy and implements system changes or business process improvements to improve operations and KPIs.
• Supports success of Supply Chain projects through analysis. Assesses risks, manages timelines, identifies deliverables and any required resou
