MAIN GOALS:

Within our newly created Retail Excellence Function, the Retail Trainer Specialist will be responsible to make sure our retail teams (Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager and Sales Assistant) always develop their sales skills and product knowledge, provide excellent customer service and represent our brand in the best possible way, every day. Retail Trainer responsibilities include teaching presentation and persuasion techniques to new hires, simulating sales scenarios and preparing training programs that cover knowledge gaps.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Identifying training needs in Retail in accordance with the Retail Excellence Manager

- Working on the implementation of a training structure and calendar

- Providing Selling techniques (welcoming, cross-selling, ice breaking, storytelling, mix and match, closing, farewell)

- Promoting standing and grooming guidelines

- Planning and managing contests, questionnaires and gamification

- Developing a training strategy tailored to regional needs (based on kpis and observation)

- Ensuring proper on-boarding of all new starters (managers and sales associate)

- Supporting coordination of large scale training moments in the region (meeting and masterclass)

- Delivering Training sessions for Store managers and ambassador

- Assessing training needs based on KPIs achievement

- Managing assessment of training outcomes and feedback

- Maintaining an active presence in store on the floor to ensure true retention of training contents and behaviours

- Key partner to the Retail Director to drive performance, productivity and results.

- Creatively sourcing solutions and implement training initiatives to drive retail performance

- Responsible for the development of the field trainers (trainers in store)

- Supporting development of in-store training ambassador

- Coaching and influencing store managers as needed to accomplish training needs for the stores

- Organising follow up

MEASURES OF SUCCESS (ROI)

- Seamless organisation and flawless execution of all retail training programs

- Driving and maintaining focus on store KPIs and mystery shopping results

- Completion and utilisation of relevant training material

- To Meet training and program deadlines

- Developing a strong team of Brand Ambassadors to support succession plans

- Strong performance and impact of the field trainers

QUALIFICATIONS

-Fluent in Italian (written and spoken) is essential

-Fluent in English (written and spoken) is essential

-From 5 to 10 years of retail training experience, preferably in a fast-paced and customer service oriented environment

-Managerial experience in leading and developing both complex projects and teams (between 2 to 5 people) of direct and/or indirect reports.

-Experience in creating and executing training programs in a corporate and retail setting

-Strong retail or service industry experience preferably in a contemporary brand

-Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

-Effective verbal and writing skills.

-Ability to handle feedback and opinions well.

-Strong organisational skills

-Dynamic and creative.
