We're looking for a Sustainability Engineer with experience in energy modelling for buildings and masterplans.
Role
• Energy modelling to support building design from early stages to construction
• Energy analysis and feasibility studies at urban scale
• Preparation of energy documentation to support LEED certifications
• Preparation of energy documentation to support local regulations compliance
• Offer consultancy advice and prepare design reports and specifications in a timely fashion and within budget
• Development of sustainable energy solutions through interdisciplinary cooperation with other Arup departments (e.g. architecture, façade, urban planning, etc.)
Requirements
Essential Skills and Knowledge
• 4-5 years of relevant professional experience in similar roles
• Master's degree in engineering or architecture or other relevant fields of study
• Good knowledge of Italian regulation on energy compliance and experience in compliance software
• Good understanding of low carbon strategies for buildings and masterplans
• Good level of English
• Systems thinking analytical capabilities
• Skills for working in multidisciplinary teams
Desirable skills and knowledge
• Digital skills including interoperability between software (Revit, Grasshopper, IES, etc.) and programming
• daylight modelling and/or CFD experience
• Knowledge of Revit
• Knowledge of Rhino/Grasshopper
• LEED and/or WELL certification experience is a plus.
