Consultant Adecco Technical & Engineerig Metro Milano City is currently looking for a candidate to cover following position for an international consulting firm established to plan, study, and design engineering projects for private and public institutions.
Senior Environmental Consultant & Project Manager
As the Senior Environmental Expert, the responsibilities would be the following
• Prepare, review, and update environmental and social impact assessment reports and
• Prepare, review, and update environmental and social management plans
• Manage local team of experts for all the field operations and quality of outputs
• Analyse physical data and do quality-control checks
• Assist the clients in ESHS safeguards implementation and monitoring (impact and performance)
• Revise and monitor Contractors EMP, sub plans and site specific plans
• Regularly complete all projects-related reporting requirements in the IFI system and provide project-related synopsis to Management as required
• Regularly visit the project sites, perform visual inspections and field reconnaissance visits in remote areas for screening purposes
• Manage the procurement of Consultants for projects implementation
SELECTION CRITERIA
At least Master degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, environmental science, natural resource management from a recognized university. Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the environmental sector (at least 5 at international level), including proven experience in environment, health and safety (EHS); risk assessment; occupational, health and safety (OHS); due diligence, environmental site assessment, and compliance audits. Knowledge of international standards and codes of practices in the environment sector of the main International Financing Institution. Experience in developing countries/ emerging economies is a strong advantage. Ability and willingness to travel frequently, including to developing countries and possibly remote, fragile areas, is required. Collaborate with a range of stakeholders, including project-affected parties, government officials, non-governmental organizations/ civil society, as well as project investors and their staff.
