The arrival of the beautiful season promises an unforgettable weekend of art, great food, and culture.

It starts with the grand return of Milan Art Week, the week dedicated to art in all its forms, with more than 180 events scheduled and over 110 exhibitions (all weekend). Within Art Week, Miart also arrives, the International Fair of Modern and Contemporary Art in Milan, scheduled from Friday to Sunday.

As summer approaches, the Milano Gelato Week also comes to the city, a event dedicated to the coolest dessert ever. For the occasion, gelato shops will also participate in the initiative by offering a limited edition flavor, to be discovered in a real tour in the realm of artisanal flavors (all weekend).

Finally, it's impossible not to mention the new Dolce and Gabbana exhibition at Palazzo Reale, an unprecedented journey through craftsmanship, visual arts, and architecture, innovation, and theater (all weekend).

Food and Wine

With the arrival of spring, the food festivals and street food festivals also return, a unique opportunity to discover the flavors of the region and enjoy them outdoors.

It starts with Hop Hop Street Food, a new street food festival that fills the streets of Cornaredo to let visitors taste the flavors of the region and excellent craft beers (all weekend).

More street food, this time in Abbiategrasso with the Music Festival & Street Food, a three-day event dedicated to the best Italian and international street food, with live music (all weekend).

Among the evenings worth noting, the return of Zarro Night at Fell in Love in Pogliano Milanese, to dance all night to the beats of 2000s dance music (Saturday).

Among the numerous events of the weekend, the tulip field in Arese, in the heart of Parco delle Groane, to spend a weekend immersed in nature (all weekend).

Free Events

There are plenty of free appointments for the new April weekend, ranging from street art to exhibitions and photography.

It starts with the world of Urban Art, with the opportunity to visit two real open-air art galleries at Prologis Park in Romentino and Prologis Park in Lodi (Saturday and Sunday).

At the Poliambulatorio Auxologico, the Milan l'è on gran Milan photographic exhibition continues, featuring images of the city of Milan seen through the sensitivity and perspective of various photographers, taken at different times (all weekend).

At the Appartamento, Be-Polar is a dialogue between canvas works and comic-style drawings on paper by Mirko Leuzzi, a Roman artist with an unconventional and provocative personality (all weekend).

Finally, at the CDI headquarters - Centro Diagnostico Italiano - on Via Saint Bon 20, the Colpo di scena photographic exhibition is a visual journey behind the scenes of a theater, discovering those who contribute to the realization of a show (all weekend).

Exhibitions

Among the beautiful exhibitions to mark on your agenda this weekend, the first weekend of the Dolce and Gabbana exhibition at Palazzo Reale stands out, an unprecedented journey through craftsmanship, visual arts, and architecture, as well as innovation and theater (all weekend).

At Tenoha, the Ukiyoe - Immersive Art exhibition continues, featuring 3DCG animations and projections based on over 300 works by renowned artists such as Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Hiroshige, and many others (all weekend).

At Palazzo Reale, the exhibitions dedicated to Cézanne and Renoir continue, featuring 52 masterpieces from the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie in Paris, and the Brassaï exhibition. The Eye of Paris is a path of 200 photographs by the great French artist (both all weekend).

Space Dreamers, on the other hand, continues beneath the Madonnina with a journey into space, featuring 16 colorful and immersive installations created to engage, excite, and surprise visitors (all weekend).

In Piazza Napoli, The Prism Core Center is the interactive artistic space, curated by Marco Senaldi, ready to welcome the public and guide them towards self-awareness (all weekend).

Color enthusiasts shouldn't miss the beautiful works of Van Gogh in the immersive virtual reality exhibition at Lampo Scalo Farini, a surprising journey through the brushstrokes of one of the greatest artistic geniuses of the 19th century, amidst sunflower fields and blooming almond trees (all weekend).

Finally, at the Museo della Scienza, the Kaleidoscope installation by Karina Smigla-Bobinski is a large luminous table where different layers of primary color inks intertwine to be touched and mixed (all weekend).

Children

Among the numerous events for children this new weekend, the presentation of Mirò, the new book by Giulia Brocco, at Feltrinelli in Buenos Aires, with a special workshop for the little ones (Sunday).

At Cascina Cuccagna, La Casa di Meneghino is a permanent place dedicated to the symbol mask of Milan, puppets, and puppet theater, with numerous workshops for children (Sunday).

In the heart of the city, the FAO Schwarz Show continues, an entertainment format for young and old, curated by the FAO team of professionals, bringing magic to the store with games, music shows, singing, and dancing (Friday).

For science lovers, finally, it's impossible not to mention Scientopolis, The City of Science, an exciting interactive journey at Spazio Ventura, where visitors can experiment and delve into scientific concepts in an engaging way (all weekend).
